I’m a marketing and communications professional from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications from The University of Winnipeg and a Creative Communications diploma from RRC Polytech, where I majored in journalism. Since graduating, I have worked in corporate communications, journalism, editing, magazine publishing, and marketing. I most recently served as content marketing specialist at Smack Pet Food. In this role, I wrote marketing emails, newsletters, ad copy, and conceived of and executed organic social media and website content. I also wrote longer form, educational pieces for the blog and was responsible for shooting all original photography and videography for social media and other marketing assets. Prior to that, I was managing editor at DEL Communications Inc., where I worked with trade associations across North America to produce high-quality magazines, e-newsletters, and directories.
