Short-term engagement with the main focus of assisting the CIO in laying the foundation for the different projects under the ICD-10 umbrella. Introduced new technology in the HIM department by leveraging on the latest 3M HIS products such as the ICD-10 translator, Advanced Analyzer and the 3M Audit product. Performed a financial neutrality analysis using 2013 data utilizing the 3M Financial Impact Tool.
Focused on ICD-10 related efforts, more specifically, provide direction, guidance and support to an offshore team in India in the continuous enhancement of Cognizant's unique and robust T10 platform as well as connecting providers globally with an efficient and highly customizable ICD-10 mapping and translation tool. Cognizant's T10 platform is an industry-leading toolset supporting assessment, modeling, business and clinical process redesign, provider workflow and communication re-engineering, and multiple technology remediation and testing support tools. The T10 platform leveraged on Pentaho Big Data technology for the conversion of Medical Policies and Benefit Tables for payors in one sweep. Expanded role to include identification of business opportunities specific to the ICD-10 and Revenue Cycle in the provider realm such as through RFPs and a vast network of provider contacts including the first that obtained the RFP for University of Illinois in Chicago for E2E testing for ICD-10, an engagement worth $1million, awarded the contract in November, 2013
