I never had an ambition or a dream job when I left school; I contemplated a position in child care but decided it wasn't for me. In 2006 when I finished school and went home to tell my dad that I wasnt going to get into childcare he suggested I get out there and get a job! That is where my journey in insurance began a job came up for an office junior in my home town Wellington and 19 years later (20 years in September) I have remained in the insurance world! Products that I have dealt with vary from Home Insurance, Travel Insurance, Motor, Fleet Insurance, Commercial Vehicle and even the odd Motorbike insurance. My heart however is more in commercial lines products, the products give more complexity,and engages my interest especially with the healthcare sector that we deal with given our centre of excellence in dentistry and being in partnership with the British Dental Association. I have been through a variety of roles from an office junior when I started, then a senior advisor, dabbled in team leader and now sitting comfortably with my commercial account handler role and dealing with our association partners (BDA, BVA, NODA, AOP, BCA to name a few) and key client portfolios. I look after clients with a variety of products such as Cyber, Practice Insurance, Management Liability, Commercial Combined, Property Owners Insurance. My passion is always about client journey from start to finish and ensuring that we are supporting and covering their demands and needs. I have my CERT qualification through the CII; I had also started my diploma in insurance but that's had to take a backseat at the moment. Key Words that I would describe myself: Passionate Determined Loyal Caring Supportive Fun Ambitious People Person Although I review most policies from a renewals point of view and any mid term adjustments, I am branching out again and growing my skillset to take on new business cases also. From a personal point of view I am kept busy with my two children and allowing them to grow with school education and extra curricular activities like rugby and football. I also carry out a role as a volunteer at my son's rugby club where I am the team secretary and first aider. Love giving back!
