I am a marketing and communications professional with experience across the charity, education and technology sectors. I create marketing campaigns, social media content, blogs, news stories, website content and press releases that help people understand the work organisations do and why it matters. At Alongside, I lead content creation across our channels, raising awareness of homelessness, domestic abuse, trauma and social exclusion. I interview clients and staff, develop campaigns, write stories based on lived experience and work closely with services across the organisation to help people better understand the challenges our clients face and the support available to them. I am particularly interested in reducing stigma and helping people see beyond assumptions. Some of the most rewarding parts of my role are listening to people’s experiences and finding ways to share them with honesty, dignity and care. I believe good communication should be clear, honest and grounded in real life.
