Utilising Project Management Skills to run exam seasons for a busy college, specialising in the Sixth Form Campus. Aligning resources to the needs of the business to ensure smooth preparation and planning of scheduled and ad-hoc exams, managing workflow efficiently and effectively to ensure the best outcome for the students while complying to relevant JCQ and other exam board regulations. Achieving this by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, communicating in varying styles in an appropriate and professional, timely manner. Main responsibilities align with exam lifecycle management; including arranging and applying for candidate Access Arrangements/Reasonable adjustments and ensuring such are in place ahead of the examination(s). Preparing appropriate facilities that comply with regulations and meet the needs of the candidate. Coordinating Invigilation staff, training and preparing them for their role and assisting them during their sessions. Managing Post-Exam Special Considerations and Post-Results Services. Taking and actioning enquiries from internal and external customers regarding all aspects of examination and assessment, including end point assessments, non-examined assessment units, registrations, claims, and certification. Running Certificate Collection Days, by inviting past candidates in to receive their certificates. Utilising various internal and external IT packages, including ProSolution, MS Office, and extensive use of Adobe Pro.
Teaching fitness classes in various settings, such as Health Clubs, Leisure Centres and Community settings as a hobby.
Providing maternity cover for the Office manager whilst continuing to undertake my substantive role as Exams Officer. Managing a small team of Administrators and the workings of a busy school office and reception function. Monitoring attendance, safeguarding and health & wellbeing of students. Successfully operating within JCQ regulations for exams, organising candidates, controlling secure exam material handling, and facilitating exam seasons.
