As Head of Music & Performing Arts at Pathways School Aravali & Gurgaon for over 15 years, contributions center on leading IB DP,MYP & PYP music programmes through innovative curriculum development and collaborative leadership. Expertise in music performance, composition, arranging, orchestration, harmony, counterpoimt and conducting has enabled me to cultivate creativity and empower students in academic and performance settings, with many advancing to renowned institutions such as Berklee College of Music and Goldsmiths, University of London. Keith is also an acredited IB MYP/DP Examiner. Previous experience as Principal Director of Music & Chief Instructor of the Royal Papua New Guinea Condtabulary Band in PNG, has enhanced skills in organising overseas tours, man-management skills, conducting, musical arrangement and programe creation, laying a strong foundation in music composition and concert band direction. Dedicated to nurturing artistic talent, efforts focus on fostering musical excellence and building vibrant, collaborative artistic communities in any school.
At Pathways School Gurgaon, I taught MYP & DP Music while leading the School Orchestra and Marching Band. My role involved preparing students for significant events like Republic Day and Founders, where they could showcase their musical talents. This experience allowed me to cultivate a vibrant musical community and enhance student participation in school activities.

Director of Music in Delhi's No 1 International School, situated in the beautiful Aravali Hills in Haryana, two hours from Delhi. Responsibility for whole school music delivery, Departmental Planning, Purchasing of stock and capital equipment, staff training and development, recruitment. The Pathways School Orchestra is amongst the best in India, and performs pieces such as 'Blues for Big Ears', 'Equinox ', 'Match of the Day ', 'Smoke on the Water','The Final Countdown' & 'Skyfall', the last three pieces with the combined orchestra, chorus and rock band. All arangements are available from Keith Terrett; and are well suited to school orchestras with the addition of easy parts for your young beginners. The IGCSE class has access to Sibelius 7 for their composing, and for performance has some of the best instrumental teachers in India are available. The prepared and un-prepared listening component is taught by the Director of Music, and includes Western Classical music and the study of World Music such as Indian, Chinese, Thai, South American & African, Results over the past three years with Trinity College (London), has shown a stream of students gaining the highest marks in India; during the Trinity College grade exams, which are held twice a year at PWS.
