Recently promoted from Bill Of Materials into a Procurement role. Material Procurement: Source and purchase raw materials, including square tubes, steel plating, round & square bars, coating materials, and fasteners/fixtures, ensuring best pricing and timely delivery to meet production demands. Vendor & International Sourcing: Manage procurement both domestically and internationally (USA, UK) for ongoing projects, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive rates and delivery terms. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate daily with management and other departments through Zoom meetings to resolve issues, align on deadlines, and ensure smooth operations. Cost Management & Budgeting: Monitor and maintain monthly budgets for different cost centers, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while meeting material needs. Estimate and calculate material requirements for various projects, including steel lengths (square tubes, circular tubes, rectangular bars, round bars) and paint quantities (wet spray, polyurethane, LDPE) based on project drawings and job cards. Collaborate with procurement to provide accurate material counts and facilitate the ordering of necessary quantities for production. Maintain stock levels in the raw materials section through regular assessments and accurate estimates of requirements. Manage requests from various departments for consumables and materials needed for ongoing projects, including maintenance of broken dies or machinery, ensuring timely supply to meet production schedules.
Industrial Blade Design & Drafting: Played a key role in designing and selling custom industrial blades (e.g., granulator blades, sheeters, guillotines) by checking specifications, PCDs, angles, and measurements. Used Sketch Up Layout for drafting blade designs, calculating blade life and size for each sample.
