Our campaign was one of only three campaigns to win any of Wisconsin’s counties in a crowded primary field of seven candidates. • Performed outreach to each of Wisconsin’s Democratic county parties, visited each of Wisconsin’s Cooperative Educational Service Agencies, discussed the campaign's vision for public education with potential industry partners, and met with labor leaders including the electricians, the pipe trades, and several educators’ associations. • Acquired and managed a team of consultants and vendors by performing initial interviews, negotiating work agreements, and drafting and approving messaging, targeting, and creative. • Developed and executed a fundraising plan from the ground-up including list acquisition, donor research, staffing candidate call time, direct mail and email solicitation, and guiding friends and colleagues of the candidate to bundle contributions from their own networks. This plan successfully cultivated contributions from over 200 donors. • Managed a comprehensive earned communications plan including a letter to the editor program, rapid response material, facilitating press conferences, and organizing interviews for the candidate with statewide and local media.
