Mechanicsville, Virginia, United States
My name is Kyle Donahue and I am an experienced physical security specialist. I have served in a law enforcement/security capacity for the last 15 years. My journey began working in the private security services industry between 2009 to 2020, where I served Fortune 500 companies, retail, and residential communities in the Greater Richmond area in various roles. During this time I worked closely with patrons and clients of the properties I worked, my co-workers, and local authorities meeting their needs and responding to incidents involving the properties I served. In 2020, I joined the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections where I have served as a Correctional Officer, Corrections Sergeant/Housing Unit Supervisor, and currently as a Probation Officer. In the institutional setting, I lead a team of 7 to 14 security and non-security personnel to oversee the safe, effective, and orderly daily operations of approximately 340+ inmates within my assigned housing unit. Additionally, I mentor and teach approximately 10 to 20 new Officer’s-in-Training a year to help them develop and become proficient in performance of their job-related duties. I am a straightforward, practical, detail-oriented, and rational person, relying on my past experiences, training, and thinking to evaluate situations and respond appropriately.
