With over 10 years of experience in clinical practice and GI & liver cancer/immunology research, I have been committed to advancing every stage of drug discovery—from basic research to translational and clinical phases. My goal is to use my expertise to revolutionize GI and liver diseases treatment and make a lasting contribution to improving patients’ futures.
Mentor: Prof. Dylan Dodd Department of Pathology, and of Microbiology & Immunology – Developed a high-throughput screening system to uncover microbial pathways that influence human health. – Led a drug development project, engineering probiotics for human diseases. – Prepared and published research findings in peer-reviewed journals (Co-authored Cell 2023) and presented at academic conferences (Oral presentation at DDW 2023). – Mentored and supervised summer interns in their research projects.

Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology – Obtained board certifications in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Clinical oncology. – Specialized in diagnosing and treating hepatitis and liver cancers. – Played a key role in clinical trials, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating on data collection and analysis. – Conducted clinical research using large patient cohort data, identifying that steatohepatitis precedes diabetes and dyslipidemia (Presented at the 4th Liver, Diabetes, and Metabolism Forum, Nagoya, Japan, 2017).
