About

Kaylee Myers has been a kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade teacher for 18 years before accepting her current position as an instructor at Kansas State University in Curriculum and Instruction. She has taught in Kansas and Nevada. At K-State, she teaches courses in the College of Education. She is also the coordinator for pre-service teachers’ practicum experience focusing on service learning to develop connections through real world experiences working directly with K-12 students. She has presented research papers and workshops at the local, state and national conferences related to literacy, student engagement, field experiences and STEM education connections. Research interests include active engagement, literacy education, professional development, service learning, and teacher mentoring.
