Managed teams of 10-15 reservoir engineers to provide consulting and simulation services to Operating Companies on production forecasting and reserves assessments of Chevron’s global major capital projects and main producing assets in Deep Water Gulf of Mexico, Latin America, Nigeria, Angola, Kazakhstan, Australia, and Mid-Continent unconventional assets. Impacted billions of dollars of investment decisions and hundreds of millions of Bbls of reserves. -Participated in peer assist and subsurface technical reviews of Company's major capital projects. -Managed cross functional project teams to develop depletion plan for major assets. -Coordinated Technical Training for the ETC Reservoir Performance Services Unit on Subsurface Assessment and Forecasting and Assisted History Matching -Built reservoir engineering competency by recruiting significant number of top PhD graduates, and mentoring them on their career development and performance management plans, leading to more than 30 mentees building successful careers at Chevron -A Chevron Fellow (2015-2020) Chevron Fellows are few selected Chevron Technical Experts who are recognized by the corporation for exceptional technical accomplishments. Once awarded, the individual retains the title of Chevron Fellow, in addition to any other job title.
Led reservoir engineering support for Tengiz and Korolev super-giant oil fields in Kazakhstan operated by Tengizchevroil (50% Chevron, 25% ExxonMobil, 20% KazMunaiGas, and 5% LukArco) including annual reserves assessment, simulation modeling of the development plan, design and implementation of data gathering and monitoring program, design and implementation of special core analyses program, coordination of field related technical work conducted by the service and technology companies, mentoring national staff for reservoir engineering activities, and ensuring technical alignment on the reservoir engineering activities with the main stakeholders and government agencies.
Played critical role in founding Petroleum Engineering Department at UAF, developed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses on Rock Fluid Properties, Petroleum Recovery Methods, Reservoir Engineering, Fluid Flow through Porous Media, Waterflooding and EOR.
