- Handle content licensing across People Inc.'s portfolio of brands, including PEOPLE, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Shape, and many others. - Primary point of contact for key international licensee accounts across 52 countries and counting. - Oversee the approvals process and monitor websites and social media activities of licensees to ensure compliance with brand standards, quality specifications, and legal requirements. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, editorial, ad sales and business development - Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to licensing revenue, royalties, and market share, providing regular reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders. - Assist contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms and conditions while protecting the company's interests and intellectual property rights. - Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for the needs of international clients.
- Work across all Broadcast and Digital production groups for day-of-air/breaking news, including TODAY Show, Nightly News, Dateline, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News NOW - Acquire, negotiate, and draft license agreements with 3rd party vendors, including Sports, Entertainment, and foreign sources, for use of footage and stills in NBCUniversal News Group programming. - Advise Editorial on potential copyright issues and provide solutions to ensure that their newsgathering and creative efforts are accomplished. - Strategize with production groups on best practices to ensure that licensing expenditures and potential risks are minimized. - Act as the primary liaison between Editorial and Legal, Standards, Finance and Archives for the acquisition of 3rd party content. - Update and manage rights database to indicate copyright source and license agreement information to ensure downstream exploitation. - Work hand in hand with Finance to confirm vendor setup and payment with 3rd party vendors.
