Established BayWa r.e.'s international origination team within the Wind Projects Business. First successful market entry in 2017 was through the acquisition of a Wind development business in Australia. Team includes business development, valuations, transactional, technical and legal experts across Europe and APAC.
One of two Directors responsible for managing BayWa r.e.'s Global Wind Projects Business. Specific areas of responsibility include oversight of Northern Europe and APAC regions as well as the International Wind Origination team, responsible for evaluating and developing new markets worldwide. Operational lead on Process & Lean, Digital Transformation/IT, Valuations, HR and Legal topics across BayWa r.e's 10+ operating Wind businesses. Currently also overseeing the Japanese solar PV projects business, on the Board, supporting the local management team with risk management, project management, project financing and procurement of 100MW+ of PV projects under development.
Following first successes in implementing UK projects, developed the business plan and established BayWa r.e.'s Wind Projects and Service Business and Head Office in the UK in 2014, followed by the hiring and leadership of over 20 employees. The UK Wind team acquired and constructed over 200MW of Wind projects and the Service business grew to over 15 staff before being set up as a stand-alone Service company following the acquisition of a UK Solar O&M business.
Responsible for various commercial, legal or operational level activities related to the acquisition and implementation of onshore wind projects in the UK, successfully delivering over 90m GBP of capital projects over nearly three years.
Strategy manager responsible for evaluating and managing corporate acquisitions and new business development activities in gas & power trading and retail. Also led on high profile internal process improvement projects.
