Reporting to the Director of HR, in this role I was responsible for leading and developing the payroll team This wide remit included: Assigning or managing projects Payroll deliverables (Biweekly, Semimonthly, and Monthly payrolls in a multi-state environment) Creating comprehensive guide books and training plans Developing new processes and creating efficiencies People management Advising leaders and employees on best practices Strategic planning
Reporting to the CPO, I owned and led global payroll efforts across 14 countries including the US, with 1000+ employees. This role brought me strong change experience, and helped forge me into a dependable, adaptable leader with a commitment to getting the job done well. I co-led a US payroll implementation, and led an international payroll implementation.
In this role, I owned, managed and executed two national payrolls: semi-monthly for exempt employees and bi-weekly for non-exempt employees. In addition, I owned and executed international payrolls working with Finance and local service providers. Additional duties included HRIS management, reporting, quarter end and year end processing and reporting, and ad hoc projects. I primarily work with UltiPro and Office.
In this role, I managed and executed a weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ exempt and non-exempt internal and external employees, including deductions, commissions, profile building, out of cycle payments, processing terminations, and a weekly 401k upload. Leaning on ADP custom reporting, I ran ad hoc projects and analysis. I built up State compliant sick time policies within ADP for 12 states based on research, developed deeper knowledge of multiple state labor laws, and assisted with Paycom implementation. I primarily worked in ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, Excel and Erecruit.
I managed and ran a weekly multi-state payroll. In addition, I handled all new hire onboarding, including acting as the first point of contact for benefits and general Human Resource inquiries. I executed several small to mid-size research projects, organized team and client events, and created reports and presentations around financial and team performance. This role gave me exposure to recruiting, consultation, and calculating yearly bonuses and monthly/quarterly commission payouts for variable compensation plans. I was responsible for occasional content creation for our blog and team pages, select marketing initiatives, and managing our social media accounts, with a focus on LinkedIn. Primary software I worked with in this position included Bullhorn (ATS / CRM), Bond/eEmpact, ADP Rapid Pay, Vendor Management Systems, and the Microsoft office suite. Social media scheduling, management, and analysis was largely conducted through Buffer.
