As a childcare professional, I believe that it is my job to assist children in their educational and interpersonal skills by creating a positive environment for children to learn. A positive environment is one in which children can explore and learn with their senses and have organic learning experiences. I want to set children up for success, both inside and outside of the classroom environment. I wish to increase their independence, grow their confidence, and help them grow both physically and socially. I want all children to learn to be kind to all people, including themselves. An effective teacher knows each student as an individual in order to cater to individual needs. It is important to understand individual perspectives and guide with compassion. An environment where children feel heard and cared for is one in which they open up and begin to truly learn. As a childcare professional, it is my job to help children reach their individual potential. It is also my job to love and support them. Each child is unique; an effective teacher will take the time to see their unique traits and needs to foster a positive environment for them. I believe that when I lead with love and compassion, children thrive.
Maintain detailed child progress documentation, daily reports, and assessment data in Teaching Strategies GOLD to support compliance and individualized learning plans. Prepare and submit lesson documentation, attendance, and classroom reports accurately and on schedule. Lead small-group instruction, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and foster social-emotional growth through play-based learning and positive guidance. Collaborate with families and staff to ensure consistency and communication.
Children receive individualized ABA services within the clinic setting and work directly with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). In this role, RBTs engage with children throughout the day, implementing behavior and skill-building programs developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Detailed session documentation is completed in real time to ensure accurate progress tracking, meet insurance reporting standards, and provide clear communication for parents and clinical teams.
The position requires that the employee manages a classroom of ten or more children alongside other staff to create a developmentally appropriate environment for children. Lead teacher assistants are expected to follow policies and procedures of the facility. Lead Teacher assistants engage students in stories, art activities, games, outdoor experiences, and other activities daily. Lead teacher assistants supervise afternoon assistants and lead activities. Lead teacher assistants report to the lead teacher in regard to classroom occurrences and procedures.

Teacher assistants conduct handover with parents at pickup which involves professionally communicating daily occurrences regarding the child. Teacher assistants conduct toileting and diapering procedures throughout the day.
