Working with both corporate and agencies alike, delivering high-impact global events. Responsibilities include end-to-end strategy, design, and delivery of events programme — defining clear KPIs, optimising flagship events, and developing new formats that deliver measurable value across a global footprint. I work closely with commercial, marketing, and sales teams to ensure events exceed member and sponsor expectations while delivering to agreed margins. With a strong focus on data, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, I lead cross-functional teams through planning, delivery, and post-event analysis. As a people leader, I build collaborative, high-performing teams and drive change across processes and ways of working to consistently deliver exceptional event experiences and uphold a reputation for excellence on behalf of my clients.
Now in it's sixth successful year, Zenith Live is the flagship event for Zcaler, bringing together Customers and Prospects across the globe. Working alongside the Global Events Team and as part of the Marketing Team in EMEA, to support the internal structure with motiving sign-up attendance via the Sales Teams as well as working closely logistically with external vendors and suppliers to produce the event itself.
Following the trends of the Events Industry, I've come full-circle and am currently involved Pharmaceutical and Life Science once again. As a result of the pandemic, energy crisis and recession, the Healthcare Events are very much holding its own, whilst other industries are facing challenges. As a Senior Project Director, I have been involved in a wide spectrum of the planning process including development of the creative, client management and pulling together the whole concept for the event.
For almost six years I've worked primarily for Aruba Networks, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, developing their flagship customer event within the EMEA region called Atmosphere. Atmosphere is a technical event, and aims to be a strong touch-point between the founders of Aruba Networks and it's valued Partners and Customers within the EMEA Region. Atmosphere itself has just celebrated it's ten year anniversary and during that time has grown from 200 to nearly 2,000 attendees. My role has involved working closely with the Marketing Department to execute the event in every way from the initial concept, through to transition and make the vision a reality. The whole process really is an evolution and I'm extremely privileged to be able to work with some incredible suppliers and colleagues, which truly make this role a pleasure. As a result, my position has developed into supporting other EMEA events alongside Atmosphere, including managing the EMEA Sales Meeting and Expos.
Having worked operationally within the events industry for numerous years, it was a natural progression to move into specialising in pitch and proposal work. I do this for my own corporate clients and also work on behalf of the major events agencies within the UK. I often found that when I went to present to a client, if the business was won, the client found it more reassuring if I was a 'face' throughout the organisation process including delivery of the event itself. Therefore, my role has organically grown to include 'client services' as well as business development. I find my flexibility as a freelancer works extremely well for this role as agencies only pay for the days I work, yet the client has the perception I'm always there in the background (which, in essence I am). In this specialised field, client confidentiality is essential and if I ever felt there was a conflict of interest I would not accept a proposed role. This business is a service industry, built on trust and respect. I'm passionate about what I do and believe in offering clients ad-hoc support to their permanent team by enhancing their service levels in a professional and cost-effective manner.
