Conduct data analysis in R, Python, and MATLAB on behavioral, acoustical, and auditory data collected from the Navy’s dolphins. Using custom built software in python and lab-view collect and analyze auditory capabilities of the dolphin MK-6 and MK-7 systems to ensure the systems are operationally ready at all times. Communicate with the primary investigator on current scientific experiments and analysis being conducted and collaborate with other scientists working with the Navy Marine Mammal Program and the University of California. Oversee research assistants and student interns who are aiding in investigating dolphin biosonar capabilities and auditory processing.
Train dolphins for the National Marine Mammal Foundation and Navy Marine Mammal Program for bioacoustic and echolocation research.
