My career path isn’t traditional, but it has built who I am as a professional and I have taken worthwhile lessons from each stop. I am currently an Executive Assistant to the President of LDA Engineering! Joining LDA came after being a part of Strayer University as an Admissions Officer. Prior to joining Strayer, I worked at Blackberry Farm, and before that I worked for K12, an online education system for children all over the nation. K12 started a new career path for me. Since beginning with the company as an entry level customer service agent, I was promoted to the company's Office Administrator. Throughout my journey, I have developed many skills, from HR to finance and facilities - it has broadened my skill base to prepare me for a managerial role. Prior to K12, I was employed at Up and Running. I helped a lot of people rid their bodies of pain and avoid injury during running, walking or even at the work place by taking them through a great fit process. Before Up and Running I worked at The Troy Daily News in Troy, Ohio. I was the Arts and Entertainment Editor. I covered the arts and entertainment scene in Troy and surrounding areas. In addition to covering the Arts, I served as a paginator and editor as well. I wrote a weekly column in addition to the stories on entertainment and art throughout the region. Before The Troy Daily news I worked as a reporter/paginator at The Evening Leader. At The Evening Leader I covered area school board meetings, council meetings, festivals and school events. Prior to The Evening Leader, I was a photographer and photo editor at The Daily Beacon. In my summers I worked at an 1880's historical farm, which I loved.
