    I have worked for the Solent hotel and spa, a Daniel Thwaites hotel, as a Food and Beverage member for the last 6 years and it has seen me through college, university and after.     I secured my first post-graduate job at Queen Alexander Hospital, Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust, in the Finance department working amongst the income team. Key responsibilities included: Responsible for accurate completion of non-contract monitoring information on a monthly basis and processing internal and external sources of information. This includes tasks such as raising of and chasing payment of invoices, data quality checking and ensuring accuracy of data entry. Working closely with other members of the income team, members of staff across the clinical divisions and other external stakeholders. Assist with organising team meetings and taking minutes. Contribute to the planning and monitoring of income contracts which informs the budget setting process and monthly forecasting. Submit and prepare Non-contracted Activity and Contract Monitoring returns on a monthly basis. Analyse, investigate and resolve financial queries and discrepancies raised by managers. This role requires working to tight deadlines, flexible approach to working, excellent communication skills as well as organisational skills and teamwork. This role also requires a proficient skill of excel and computer work.
