A driven communications professional with over a decade of experience looking to make a career change into veterinary medicine. My want for a career change came about in 2024 as my 13-year old paraplegic corgi Milo passed away. Throughout his life he experienced health issues ranging from incontinence to multiple cancers to a brain tumor that ultimately ended his life; and through this, I relied on his veterinary caretakers who inadvertently taught me to appreciate and admire the profession. Soon after he passed, I reached out to more than ten veterinarians, shadowed at several clinics and a zoo, and signed up to volunteer at two local animal welfare nonprofits all while maintaining a full-time career. After these experiences, I've decided to embark on my journey as a pre-vet post-bacc student at Long Island University. Class of '27.
• Drove firmwide content strategy, leading the creation and production of marketing assets including: photography, videography, print and digital collateral, presentations, RFPs, social media and promotional items • Developed corporate brand messaging, positioning and guidelines, representing over 90 developments and 600 employees across 18 states • Designed, rebranded and launched Fairstead's corporate website, leveraging data analytics to improve audience retention and engagement • Worked alongside company executives to create and execute corporate event and sponsorship strategies, press efforts, and awards submissions
• Head of corporate and property marketing function, responsible for all internal and external communications, including: brand management, copywriting and content, digital marketing (social, website), public relations (events, awards, sponsorships and ads), SEO and analytics, business development (RFPs and presentations), agency management, etc. • Worked alongside founder to establish the company's mission, vision, and values; with Fairstead's new foundation, created and executed a 360 strategic marketing plan • Managed a marketing team to build out the brand's visual aesthetic and create engaging communications campaigns • Spearheaded communications and crisis management plan for property marketing; worked in tandem with the sustainability, operations and social services teams on community engagement, ESG and corporate responsibility initiatives
