Founded in March 2021 The Key Style offers personal shopping services from fashion stylist Katie Kelly. Katie has over 10 years experience in the fashion industry including retail, styling, creative direction, photography, visual merchandising, PR & events. Katie’s love for the industry started when she studied fashion entrepreneurship at the University of Central Lancashire. It was there that she realised how much she enjoyed the styling side of things and dreamed of creating her own business in the future. The Key Style was created to offer fashion tips, styling know how & creative flair to help people make the most out of their wardrobes. Helping people to feel confident and comfortable within themselves through the power of a good wardrobe is the driving force behind Katie creating her own business. Katie is also passionate about helping her clients to build a capsule wardrobe. The right pieces in your wardrobe can be used to transition you from day to night. As a result this will save you money in the long run. When executed well a capsule wardrobe can also take you through the different seasons.
My role is to write weekly articles for the website which include the areas of fashion, hair and beauty and accessories. I occasionally write up product reviews for various companies and promote the website alongside my articles via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram. I currently run the Pinterest account.
I completed work experience with The Style Clinic as an assistant stylist during Liverpool fashion week. My main duties were: • Dressing the models • Scheduling the running order • Organising the clothing racks • Assisting the main stylist on choosing outfits • Helped with completion of the show
I worked as a hairdressing assistant during my work experience at Adam David Hair Design. During my placement, my main duties were: • Customer service • Responsible for answering the telephone and arranging appointments • Washing and prepping hair • Salon presentation
