I am excited to be starting as a TU RISE Postdoctoral Fellow with SETU in January 2025. The project is titled "Utilising species distribution modelling to increase the data value obtained from biodiversity research" and seeks to utilise species distribution modelling (SDM) to predict future changes in species distributions in Ireland under various climate scenarios. It is in collaboration with Dr. Denise O’Meara (SETU), Dr. Paul Holloway (UCC), and Dr. Liam Lysaght (National Biodiversity Data Centre). Part of the project is developing a framework for interested stakeholders to leverage their own biodiversity distribution data with SDM. SETU TU RISE is co-financed by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27.
