About

I'm a mixed media artist and traveler with a passion for creative community engagement. I have experience in teaching, entrepreneurship, grant writing, fundraising, social media, customer service, restaurant management, administrative assistance, collaboration, performance art, cooking, and yachting. My assets include my work ethic, creative thinking, attention to detail, calm demeanor, maturity, and sense of humor. Artistic Bio: My work is a reflection of my life in nature - the way it moves and changes, sometimes subtly, sometimes quickly, one connected to the other. It is this seeming dichotomy that interests me. When we spend time with nature, we feel better. From a warm summer evening on Lake Michigan to a foggy morning stroll through Forsyth Park in autumn. It is my goal to bring nature to you, through painting, styling, and curating. Limited Edition is a creative movement that seeks to foster the practice of contemporary artists and stimulate the artistic potential of the local community. In the summer of 2015, Limited Edition opened up a Pop-Up Shop in downtown Petoskey. The shop featured the work of over 30 young, emerging artists from Michigan from June to September. In addition to showing and selling work, our young artists were given the opportunity to conceptualize and lead a workshop, providing them with valuable teaching experience. The artists were compensated properly for their time and the workshops were subsidized, making them an accessible $5-$10 to participate. Weekly free life drawing was offered every Thursday evening, with a variety of short and long poses. We hosted three openings, with rotating curated work, and music by DJ Clark after Dark. We organized a mentorship series with creative professionals from the community to help demystify what it takes to be a creative in Northern Michigan. Lectures ranged from Writing the Artist Statement to Artist as Entrepreneur, and were free and open to the public. Limited Edition was supported by a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and NEA.
