As a neurologic occupational therapist, I provide specialized services to patients with neurological conditions, such as stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. I also teach and lead in the Alaska Brain Injury ECHO team, a virtual learning and education program for clinicians, patients, and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI). My passion is to improve the quality of life and functional outcomes of people with neurological impairments, using evidence-based and patient-centered approaches. I have developed strong skills in assessment, intervention, and care coordination, as well as in building and maintaining relationships with various physicians and healthcare facilities to increase referrals and collaboration. I have also contributed to the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives, such as the rehab young stroke therapy program pathway at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. Additionally, I have demonstrated leadership and presentation skills as part of a multidisciplinary teaching and healthcare provider board, sharing my expertise and best practices with other professionals and stakeholders.
