Bluecoats is a non-profit, charitable organization devoted exclusively to the well-being of families of Cuyahoga County safety officers who have lost their lives, or have become permanently and totally disabled and incapacitated, in the line of duty. Since its inception in 1956, Bluecoats has provided support and care to families of more than 100 police and firefighters who have given their lives to protect each of us, our families, and our community. Support is always tailored to the individual needs of the family members involved, with a focus on the education of the fallen officers’ children.
Our mission is to strengthen the bonds between the Cleveland Division of Police and the citizens it serves, working together to make our city safer for all. To accomplish that goal, the CPF works proactively to support and invest in programs, community policing initiatives and engagement, events that foster stronger relationships between citizens and police officers, and police charities.

Directs, plans and monitors some of Hyland’s most complex internal projects from inception to closure, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Leads cross-functional teams accountable for defining and implementing strategic initiatives. • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding complex internal initiatives and providing vision across cross-functional teams. • Lead projects using Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies; define success metrics, manage documentation, and ensure alignment with business goals. • Design and implement dashboards for Executive Leadership to monitor departmental workload and project-driven revenue expectations. • Develop tools and surveys to assess project effectiveness and drive continuous process improvement. • Create communication plans and status reports to keep stakeholders informed and proactively mitigate risks. • Mentor and coach team members, promoting strategic thinking and successful adoption of new processes.
