I am a chartered engineer in both civil and structural engineering who has worked in consulting engineering and project management for over 20 years based in Perth, London and Brisbane. I enjoy delivering technically challenging multi-disciplinary engineering projects and have undertaken projects within the oil and gas, resources, energy and transport sectors. Throughout my career I have worked as a project director, project/design manager, project team leader, project/package engineer, and civil/structural design engineer on mining, marine/maritime/port, oil and gas, transport, and energy infrastructure projects. As a trusted advisor and deliverer of projects, I always act in the best interest of the client with safety at the front and centre of mind. I enjoy the ever changing environment of delivering projects and the excitement of overcoming challenges with the team.
Responsible for the leadership, development and wellbeing of Arcadis WA Rail team consisting of Design Management, Signalling, Communications, OLE, Traction Power, Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance and Track & Civil discipline professionals. Responsible for business development and delivery of WA Rail projects. - Tender Design Morley to Ellenbrook Rail - Independent Verification of Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal project - Tender and Detailed Design of Midland Station - Independent Verification of Swan River Crossing project - Concept design of PSUP Perth, McIver and Claisebrook stations with Arup - Optioneering for City West Station upgrade with Architectus - Detailed design for Byford Rail Extension signalling - Pilbara Miner rail decarbonisation study - Westport marine-side Technical Advisory
Responsible for delivery of Bayswater Station Upgrade and Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal projects. Formed delivery team, oversaw procurement of Alliance and D&C Contractors and commencement of enabling works for both projects.
Responsible for all aspects of delivery of Perth Stadium Transport Infrastructure Project with particular focus on commissioning, operational readiness and successful testing and transition into operation for all bus, road and rail infrastructure.
Responsibilities on the Perth Stadium Transport Infrastructure project included: Overseeing Main Roads WA design and construction delivery of the Victoria Park Drive Bridge Modifications. The works involved widening and lengthening of the Victoria Park Drive Bridge to accommodate the new Stadium train station which required expansion of track infrastructure from 2 to 6 tracks to accommodate 3 platforms. Provision of PTA operational input into the design of the Matagarup Bridge and Bus Stands which were delivered by Main Roads. PTA’s Client Representative for the Alliance Development phase of the Stadium Rail Alliance Delivery for the winning proponent, PRISM Alliance. Provision of support to the PRISM Alliance during the design and construction phase of the Stadium Rail Alliance delivery. Works involved provision of a new station at the Stadium and associated track infrastructure upgrades. Provision of PTA approval of structural work for Stadium Station Entry into Service. PTA Project Manager for the East Perth Station Upgrade from the 85% design stage through to completion of construction and commissioning. Works involved provision of a new DDA compliant station concourse, platform extension and associated track infrastructure which was constructed while maintaining the existing East Perth Station as an operational station. Assisting the Principal Interface Manager with providing input to the Stadium design team on PTA requirements for the bus and rail infrastructure at the Stadium, participation in the development of the Camfield Drive Project Definition Plan (PDP), coordinating contractors working on the Burswood Peninsula and managing stakeholders.
Public Transport Authority (contract) - Provision of risk and project management services to the Infrastructure Planning and Land Services division on the Forrestfield-Airport Rail Link Project.
