I am a graduate of Georgia Tech holding a BSME (Honors, Co-op), and I am currently employed at NSI-MI Technologies in Suwanee, GA, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. I have a passion for problem-solving and am excited to hone this skill through challenging employment and continued learning. I am very results-oriented, and I thrive in an environment where I can work towards and see a final product.
X-Ray Source Production Lead • Maintain inventory for all production models. Reduced downtime due to lack of inventory from 73% to 25%, increasing production rate from 4 to 11 x-ray tubes per month. • Locate opportunities for change in component sourcing. Cut cost of primary components by 53% while decreasing lead times and eliminating secondary manufacturing processes. • Established process flow and created automated production tracking, reducing cycle time by 59% and preventing clerical errors in 98% of records. • Create and maintain procedures, forms, and work instructions for the assembly and manufacturing of x-ray tubes. Create and route engineering change orders for all required process changes. • Digitized past manufacturing paperwork, determined common failure points and evaluated personnel effectiveness. X-Ray Source Research and Development • Assembly and processing of all models in R&D; responsible for proper documentation to ensure design validation upon positive output results. • Construct assembly documentation and define process parameters for new models, allowing for smooth transition into production. Engineering Documentation • Modify standard title block to auto-populate necessary information and update revision information upon approval. Oversee implementation company-wide on 4500+ drawings. • Create and oversee routing of procedures, forms, and work instructions for the assembly and manufacturing of x-ray tubes. • Document and refine in-process engineering procedures, including enumerating the standards of engineering drawings and file maintenance. Project Management • Create and monitor timeline of prototype machines in non-nuclear irradiation business for use by hospitals, research facilities, and universities. • Consolidate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety facets of design, ensuring proper fit and manufacturability, and preparing documentation packages for quality assurance.
