Working as the deputy to the Managing Director, my role primarily covered the financial management of the business and then General Management, Sales & Marketing, Warehousing and Administration My Key responsibilities were to: • Financial Management Monthly & Annual Financial reporting to Annual Audit Standards (100% pass rate) • Preparation of Annual Budgets, cash flow management and all cash management for the company, financial reporting, and reporting to both holding company and financial institutions • Inland Revenue statutory requirements – GST, PAYE, Resident and Non Resident Withholding tax, Provisional & Terminal Tax • Liaise with our accountants/auditors (DKF Oswin Griffiths Carlton), bankers • Fixed Asset Management • Control and manage debtors, creditors, general ledger • Manage 2 direct reports, Assistant Accountant and Sales & Product Administrator • Foreign Exchange Management • Manage Forex Cover and all payments, NZD and FX • Manage significant Foreign Exchange Supplier Accounts and provide up to date forecasting • Inventory Management • Product purchasing (local and overseas), all inward stock costing • Exporting Product • Annual Stocktake • Human Resources Management • Payroll Management • Contracts/inductions and workplace inductions for all employees • Employee reviews and performance processes • Health & Safety • IT • Management for Integrity of Database system for Financial & Inventory Management • Manage IT systems (terminal server) • Customer management • Business Development with our larger customer base, along with adding support to Sales & Marketing team • Sales Reporting • Attend Trade Shows
