About

I am an experienced and adaptable health professional working freelance after retiring from a career in Public Health and General Practice. I am the Public Health Lead on the Deep End Cymru steering group. I have particular experience of working in disadvantaged localities and place an emphasis on addressing inequities. I have a long standing interest in global health and international health partners. I am a member of the Betsi Quthing International Health Partnership, between Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the Ministry of Health Lesotho. I am an Honorary Researcher in the Division of Population Medicine at Cardiff University. And I am a Bevan Commisssion Senior Fellow Primary Care Global Health Teaching

    I am a volunteer coordinator for the Network which consists of more than 20 partnerships between NHS and University organisations in Wales and their counterparts in sub Saharan Africa. They focus on sustainable partnerships to improve health outcomes in Africa, mostly through supporting the training of health workers. The Network maintains a website, an ebulletin,produces an annual report and organises events such as an annual conference and sharing learning events.
