Greet patients in a polite, respectful, and timely manner; provide patient with clear instructions. Check-in all patients, reviewing patient paperwork for accuracy and completion. Obtain documentation such as drivers license and insurance information and scan documents and paperwork into computer system. Complete check-in list throughout the day, Such as e registration, faxes, voicemails, calling termed insurances, verifying insurance for the next day. Complete check-out duties throughout the day, such as opening batch in the morning, making sure the printer is set and setting up label maker for card reminders, completing detailed receipts, patient request emails, patient retention report, leading reach, and referrals via fax, as well as schedule return appointments at check-out after collecting payment. Setting up check-in towards the end of the day printing fee tickets, and the front office schedule for next morning and highlighting what is needed(Health history, insurance card) Completing check-out closing duties for the end of the day, such as collecting receipts, match the transaction slips and completing deposit slips, as well as closing out any cosmetic receipts on insta-med and filing the documents. Complete referrals by completing patient chart and calling to get an appointment scheduled. Communicating with the providers as well as the MA’s about any questions or concerns for patients. Answer patient questions regarding benefits, payments and billing questions Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Verify insurance by contacting the insurance companies. Inform front office manager if any patient satisfaction has been compromised. If patient has a previous balance, payment must be collected before scheduling another appointment.
