      In the role of Training Manager I am responsible for the regulatory required Human performance and Non-Technical Skills training portfolio for a high performance and safety critical workforce. This includes the development and delivery of initial, refresher and return to work training for operational crew and the training and development of Human Performance instructors in the fields of Human Factors, Non-Technical Skills, Crew Resource Management and Fatigue Risk Management. I regularly work with operational team members following events in a human performance coaching capacity on Non-Technical Skills and Human Performance conditions to improve operational performance. In addition to training my role involves reviewing the risks associated with the implementation of new policy, procedures and equipment to ensure there is no degradation of human performance associated with change management. As well as trying to mitigate the effects of mental health concerns on human performance through training and risk management processes for operational crews and managers across the Jetstar business.

      As the Jetstar Group Human Risk Specialist my role involves the development and delivery of projects to support the organisation and operational teams at all Jetstar Branded Airlines. These projects have included the development and delivery of a three day enhanced Crew Resource Management program, the development of a Pilot Competency Framework and leading the project to appoint a new supplier of psychometric testing specifically designed to measure what a good Jetstar pilot looks like. I also deliver human factors, just culture, investigations and fatigue management training as well as providing human factors specialised support to operational risk assessments and investigations. As part of my role I work closely with our Asian airlines in Singapore, Vietnam and Japan, with each program of work able to be modified to allow for differing operational, organisational and cultural differences.
