Leads a team of analysts, researchers, and clinical informaticists working directly with our customers (life sciences, payers, providers, health tech) scoping and delivering custom analytics, RWE research projects, and off-the-shelf market access reports. I get the most joy helping folks solve their business puzzles using medical and Rx claims -- Who are the docs you're interested in? Where are the patients you need to know more about? How do I learn more about how care is actually being delivered in the areas I care about?
Provides a clinical lens and coding expertise in a growth stage SaaS company. Works directly with industry leading customers to help surface claims based insights on quality care and market opportunities. Helps turn RWD into RWE. Acts as a liaison between clinical customers and technical teams speaking both languages.
I analyzed and presented claims data for large group health plans providing actionable insight for health improvement initiatives and cost savings. I provided utilization, benefits, and population health data consultation for over 40 large group customers annually. I worked across departments to deliver beautiful, flowing data stories with action items to improve equitable whole person health for individuals, while protecting the bottom line for employer groups. This role grew my technical skills and business acumen, and let me participate in the sales cycle from a sales solutions position. I enjoyed strategizing with internal and external customers, finding the best ways to help our mutual members manage their health.
As a health coach, I empowered a rotating caseload of 120+ members to take charge of their health and make positive lifestyle changes. I provided Case Management and Disease Management services directly to members in order to control costs to members and employer groups. I also completed claims analysis for discrepancies and cost savings opportunities, including a multi-million dollar recovery. During my time in this position I sat for and earned my case management certification, which I continue to maintain.
I spent two semesters at an innovative health tech joint-venture between Independence Blue Cross and Comcast during my Masters program in Nursing Informatics. I provided clinical insight to the case management life cycle as well as sharing my experience working with both patients and caregivers. I also participated in product discovery and design, and multiple design thinking workshop sessions.
