Born in Germany, educated and professionally shaped in Italy, Germany and the United States, today I cover US business for Der Spiegel. Formerly I led the entire US coverage as US Bureau Chief of Germany's leading economic newspaper Handelsblatt. I also served as Italy correspondent and President of the Foreign Press Association in Milan, Italy, leading the prestigous organization of 100 international correspondents bringing together representatives from all sectors of society, culture, politics, and business. I have been awarded with the prestigious Georg von Holtzbrinck Preis für Wirtschaftspublizistik and other awards.
