While continuing my research on (im)possible identities in higher science and biology education, I am developing 1) a project on international and culturally relevant PhD student supervision in the natural sciences, 2) a special issue on feminist science education research, as well as 3) collabrate as a researcher in the EMOTE project in intersections of positional theory and emotions in engineering education (PI Dr. Johanna Lönngren). I am furthermore engaged in Master thesis supervision and teaching in Natural Science Didactics.
During my time at SEPAL, I designed and colleccted data for a qualitative research project on Biology Instructor's Understandings of Effective and Inclusive Teachingin the lab of Prof. Kimberly D. Tanner.
Designing teaching material framing documentaries such as The Green Belt in Europe, The vulnerable skin of the Earth - biological crusts in different environments, Ravens - Chimpanzees of the skies in multiple languages and for different educational levels (primary to upper secondary level).
In my project I explored undergraduate biology students' and biology instructors' science identities at three European universities, focusing on who is considered an intelligible biologist. Work from my PhD roject was among others published in Science Education,the Journal of Research in Science Teaching, and the International Journal of Science Education.
