I'm a classical mezzo-soprano who is absolutely passionate about Music education for children and young people, and I have a special interest in developing young voices. I use Kodaly and Dalcroze methods in the classroom and have enjoyed working with children and young people in music since qualifying as a Secondary Music teacher in 2008. I studied as a junior pupil at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and later at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I received my BMus in Vocal Studies in 2007. I have worked freelance as a mezzo-soprano soloist and am part of Opera Caelestis - a classical vocal trio who perform for recitals, weddings and corporate events. My work in Music education has been varied - from teaching up to GCSE Music to Early Years and key stage one and two. I have taught singing one to one since graduating from Music College as well as classroom music, leading choirs and preparing music scholars in some of the UKs leading independent schools.
