The Friends of the WNC Nature Center provides resources to support Asheville's 42-acre wildlife park and its efforts to connect people with animals and plants of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
Supported and enhanced resources to meet the mission of empowering children and families to meet their full potential and surrounding students with support. This included planning, executing, and evaluating fundraising for the organization, including grants and special events. Children First/Communities in Schools of Buncombe County surrounds children and their families with supports that help them succeed in their schools and homes while empowering the community to advocate for children and families.
Assisted Development Director with fund development through annual giving, memorial giving, major gifts, planned giving, and capital/endowment giving. Also provided oversight of print, electronic media, corporate image, and graphic standards. Givens Communities provides housing, support services, and outreach through its family of senior living communities in Western North Carolina. With more than 1,200 residents and 540 employees, Givens is the fourth largest multi-site senior living organization in North Carolina.
Assisted organization with grant applications, donor stewardship, graphic standards and branding, staff and Board development, special events, and print and electronic media. Black Mountain Counseling Center provides emotional and behavioral counseling to individuals in the Swannanoa Valley, working with clients who have financial difficulties or are uninsured/ underinsured.
Coordinated the visit experience for prospective students, represented the college at out-of-state fairs, and supervised assistant admissions counselors and student staff. Montreat College is a private Christian liberal arts college located in Western North Carolina.
