At Menards in the cabinetry and appliance sales department, I've worked with clients and contractors to design cabinetry and countertop layouts according to their blueprints, and help customers get the right appliance for their needs. I have been able to increase my communication skills, over the phone and in person. I've been able to gain product knowledge, and increase my customer service skills.
At Flame Cantina I had a long list of duties and three positions that I was able to do. As a server, I used my communication skills to communicate with my seated customers. I was able to use the handheld POS system to enter food and drink orders. I made sure my customers were comfortable and the food they ordered was up to par. After my customers had left, I would bus my table and clean it throughly. Many times as a server I had multiple tables, in which I gave each of them the same service and care as any other! As an Expo/ Hostess, in this position I would juggle two jobs at once by seating customers with menus, and greeting customers. I would make sure online and in store orders were coming out on time and to par with the restaurants standards. I would bring said orders to the correct table all at one collective time, making sure each customers was pleased with their order upon seeing it. I would also package and distribute online orders to third party delivery drivers and to online order customers.

At Hansen, I was a project coordinator. This position required me to learn excel, word, projectmates.com, procore.com, outlook, and how best to organize files on computer. During this internship I also learned how to type faster and more accurately. I greatly improved my phone communication as well. With procore.com I learned how to create submittals, subcontracts, purchase orders, and company and user directory updating and creation. I also am able to read and pull information out from spec sections, and shop drawings.
