Kate Foster is a children’s and middle grade book author of fiction and nonfiction. Her work covers a range of subjects, from heroic bomb-sniffing rats to one girl’s determined quest to find a cure for hiccups. More than anything, Kate loves to write about interesting people who make bold choices. After completing an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University, Kate worked as an editor and writer for publishers including Pearson, Mondo, McGraw-Hill, and Heinemann. She has written more than 20 books for young readers. Kate's work for adults has appeared in publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Publisher’s Weekly, the award-winning German airline magazine Air, and the Antigonish Review.
