In a commitment to family engagement and support, every school in the Worcester Public Schools has a full-time wraparound coordinator. Wraparound Coordinators’ work generally falls into two categories: Family Resource Provisions & Family Engagement. Wraparound coordinators support families in connecting to non-academic resources, ultimately impacting students’ ability to succeed in school. Additionally, Wraparound Coordinators take a leadership role at the school level in implementing initiatives and strategies aligned with WPS’s Family & Community Engagement Framework.

Just Us Girls: Assist with the implementation of a program designed to educate, expose and empower girls with disabilities on their journey towards becoming self-determined active community members. Planning and implementing curriculum, collecting data, working with families. Therapeutic Recreation: Assist with the implementation of Sports and Recreation programs, including Special Olympics, for individuals of all abilities.
