After gathering first experiences in pre-clinical drug development during an internship at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, I was able to further expand my knowledge in the field over the course of my PhD in the gastrointestinal physiology and translational drug discovery and development research groups at Uppsala University, investigating the side effects of chemotherapy on the gastrointestinal tract as well as potential treatments thereof.
