I enable researchers to utilize state-of-the-art scientific data infrastructures by developing and communicateling discipline specific research data management (RDM) services for the Earth System Sciences at DKRZ. In my role, I regularly present at conferences, am an invited expert at a variety of workshops (e.g. on RDM or career development) and develop trainings for scientists. My background in data-driven atmospheric science (6y PostDoc, 8 first author peer-reviewed publications +several as contributing author) is critical for assessing customer needs and allows me to communicate most effectively with scientists in the field. From time to time, I still actively look at some data to not fully lose my data analysis skills using a combination of UNIX shell scripting, NCL and Python.
