I'm Karsten, an Aerospace Engineering major with industry and research experience in aerodynamics, structures, and materials, particularly in advanced design and hypersonics. I will be returning to Boeing's Phantom Works where I currently hold an Interim Secret clearance. I also assisted with research at the Center for Hypersonics and Entry Systems Studies at UIUC.
Designed and created an optical mirror configuration to direct a Class 4 laser into a beam catcher of a speckle pattern diffuser, allowing the speckle pattern to be observed on a test sample in extreme thermal conditions
Projects related to advanced design in aerodynamics, air data systems simulation, and thermoplastic composites.
Performed and assisted rocket fin aerodynamic analysis and structural testing.
Performed qualitative and quantitative data collection, and organization via python key word scripts.
Detected and performed 11 saves. Lead and directed swim lessons.
