Karrie is a well rounded and open minded human with extensive experience in a variety of fields. She fulfills roles with a customer focus. Following an exciting career in the Private sector in the fields of Hospitality, Land and Property Management, Karrie has more recently honed her skills within the South Australian and Local Government sectors. She has fulfilled supporting roles for members of the community, staff and key executives as well as developing in her role as a Business Liaison. Her keen interest lies within Local Government and Karrie enjoys visualising the outcomes of hard work in her local community. She has extensive knowledge in the areas of Governance and has experience in Risk, Rates and Depot Operations. Karrie is fair, friendly and defaults to a lighthearted approach within the workplace, although can also operate with a direct approach when necessary. As a result, a key to her success is the ability to form lasting relationships with key Stakeholders whatever her role. Her intent is always to better the experience or circumstances for all involved, many times asking "Why". This combined with her technical experience with Legislation, Government report writing, records management, Microsoft office suite, procedure management, use of internal Government applications, strategic thinking, diary management and a variety of other skills has been the basis for a solid achievement in many roles. Karrie is organised and practices attention to detail in all that she does. Karrie loves to get the job done and is determined to ensure that goals & objectives are met. Karrie likes learning new things, is a great listener and operates best with limited supervision as she will always ask for guidance when required. Karrie likes new ways of thinking and innovative ideas. Seeing their development through to implementation is of most satisfaction to Karrie. Socially, her time is spent with her beautiful Border Collie, Harlow as well as family and friends. This is a key driver in her personal well-being. Karrie is fun and likes to lift the spirit in others although is happy in her own company or enjoying the comfort and innocence of animals at home and in the natural environment. Daily, Karrie enjoys cooking, music, coaching netball teams, volunteering administrative time to her local netball club and thrives on the comradery that this provides.
