Following a boarding school education , I joined BP tanker Co. as a Junior Marine Sea Going Engineer and Covered 400 000 miles at sea world wide , then Studied marine engineering for 2 years at Merchant Navy College , Poplar , London U.K. In 1975 I joined a French Ship building and repair Company (Ziegler Freres Dunkerque) as engineering Technical project manager and interpreter In 1977 I joined a Yacht belonging to Joseph Bamford JCB (Lotus 43 metre ) in St Tropez as Chief Engineer and moved on to Skipper Yachts in 1981 During the Last 30 years I have over seen several refits and worked as shakedown /hand over Captain for Versilcraft Viareggio Italy , Baglietto Italy and stood by the Builds of 2 heeson Yachts and the 37 metres Motor Catermaran " Chief Flying Sun " in Capetown for the late Sir David Brown (Aston Martin) I am now based in the Med in Summer and Thailand in Winter recently passed 500 tons commercial certificate and have been teaching with blue water A E C engineering course
