About

Marketing and communications professional with over two decades of experience, best known for my strategic approach to brand messaging and creative ideas that move the needle. With a focus on lifestyle brands, including food and beverage, hospitality and leading consumer products, I believe that effective communications and public relations strategies challenge the status quo. I represent select clients as a strategic and new business advisor for Sabrina Levine Communications, in addition to serving clients through my own fractional consulting work. Both allow me to counsel C-suite executives and work collaboratively with creative teams. I also have a proven track record bringing together non-profits and corporations for mutual benefit. Experiential events, activations and securing beneficial brand collaborations is an important part of my approach to holistic communications planning. I started my career in communications at Citibank, N.A., and then later joined one of the nation’s top ten PR firms, Ketchum Public Relations, which led me to start my own agency, serving as the founder and CEO. For over a decade, Amster-Young Public Relations, Inc. (AYPR) represented high-end brands, predominantly in the consumer, design and home arena. For over 20 years I have managed account teams and found a passion for mentoring others. I was honored to be included on PR Week’s 40 under 40, and featured in numerous industry media platforms for my leadership and expertise. In addition to client work, I’m a journalist for prominent media publications in NYC and the Hamptons, including James Lane Post, Hamptons magazine and Dan’s Papers. I’ve interviewed a variety of CEOs, A-listers, artists, designers and others. Strong research abilities and digital-worthy storytelling is a priority as my work continues. My personal essays have been published in the New York Times, Business Insider, Thrive Global and more. I’m the co-author of the non-fiction book, The 52 Weeks, which shares evergreen messages on how to get out of your comfort zone. In recent years, I’ve been pursuing my passion for art and capturing life’s universal themes. Some of my mixed media art, “Daughters”, “HOPE”, “The Circle of Life” and most recently, “The Life of Rock” have been showcased this past year at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York.
