Business Development Manager @ Chapter One | Promoting Literacy and a Love of Reading | Experienced Educator and School Leader

Long Eaton, England, United Kingdom

About

I bring extensive experience in primary education, combined with a passion for fostering literacy and a love of reading to my work for the charity Chapter One. The innovative Online Reading Volunteers Programme connects schools and families with corporate volunteers who dedicate 30 minutes each week to reading 1:1 with children online. Our programme now supports nearly 3,000 children across the UK in cities such as Birmingham, Bradford, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester. By pairing children with dedicated volunteers, we’ve seen remarkable transformations in reading confidence and ability. I’m proud to play a role in expanding our reach and creating a brighter future for children through literacy.
