• I initially took on the role of supporting the Country Leads with the aim of clearing down the balance sheets in preparation of the liquidation of several EMEA Legal Entities. • In 2019 I took over the full responsibility of 5 EMEA Legal Entities from the Country Leads due to worldwide restructuring. I successfully dissolved 3 Legal Entities during this time. • Preparing the statutory accounts to aid the 3rd Party accounting firms to prepare the annual accounts and CIT returns. I also prepared the mapping between US GAAP and local Statutory with full responsibility of aiding the statutory audits. • I also was able to review the annual reports in different languages and understand the local accounting rules before asking the board members to sign for filing. • Other roles in the Country Finance Lead position: Involved with quotes for 3rd Party Finance Companies for the technical aspect of preparing the statutory accounting, reviewing and approving of Non-PO invoices, arranging of the setting up new Suppliers & POs in the systems, preparing and approving the quarterly tax provision and preparing quarterly forecasts for the quarterly tax provision.
• Managed a team of 3 onsite (front office) where I had re-organized the team to a more efficient work ethic and over saw 6 offsite (back office) associates. In this role the continued improvement of the monthly reconciliations was ongoing where I had team members reviewing and approving other County’s reconciliations to aid correctness & spot any issues in a timely manner. • I immediately documented all the teamwork processes and looked to improve these for a more efficient way of working without decreasing the quality. • I conducted the team performance reviews where I suggested areas they could improve to aid their work experience and roles. • I was able to support team with any issues/queries that arose. • Successfully and efficiently transferred work to the back-office team for new activities and process to come into my team from the Country. • I have good and effective communication with the customer in terms of accounting issues, reconciliations, monthly and quarterly reporting. • Transfer Pricing activities. • I was also Involved with interviewing candidates when positions arose.
• In this role I was responsible for the Head Office accounts with various departments. (R&D, Marketing, Finance). This was a completely new role within the company where I was able to determine the work needed. • I prepared the yearly budgeting and forecasting and was involved with presenting this to the CEO. On a monthly basis I took the initiative to compare actuals to budgets where I had also reviewed with the various department heads to discuss any future changes or improvements. • Preparing month manual journals • Active role in the accounting month end process. • Analyzed and reporting of worldwide fixed costs.
• I had started this role as an administrator organizing the client business meetings catering and facility needs. • Within a year I then took on the role of a finance associate as I was eager to learn accounting and get into that industry. Within 3 months I was promoted to Finance Manager in a different site due to my ability to take work on quickly with good quality and understanding. • I managed a team of 3 where I conducted performance reviews trained the team to aid their work experience and also set up a process for the cash handlers and took the initiative to carry out their training. • I prepared the yearly budgeting and forecasting of the site with good critical analysis of the monthly results. Explaining the margin results and also maintained a good analysis of the labour costs and other expenses which effected the bottom line where I reported to the Head Office. • I was also involved with presenting the monthly results to the client and was able to explain any queries that arose.
