[2023-2024] Led a top company priority to re-imagine our core product experience with AI, alongside a group of 20+ x-fn teammates. Reported to VP, GM of AI Products, and worked closely with our Founder and product leadership. [2021-2023] Product lead for Dropbox Capture, a new visual communication tool for distributed teams. Took the product from Alpha to a Public Beta launch (Sep’21), then through a GA launch (Oct’22). Over this time, shipped dozens of new features, increased MAUs >20x, Sean-Ellis score up xx%, satisfaction scores up xx%, and scaled team up 3x.
Partnered closely with President and SVP, Product (Timothy Young) to set product strategy and re-vamp overall company strategy. Set up company rhythms, multi-year strategic framework, board updates, and wrote company strategy memos that were shared with the company and board of directors. Thought partner advising on key decisions. Led company planning process and resource allocation across 2,000+ employees; formulated approach, created operating model, created metric-setting framework, ROI framework, communicated strategy, and set up supporting dashboard/IT systems/data pipelines to monitor and track progress.
Owned long-range company model; partnered closely with CFO and executive leadership to create strategic recommendations, set company targets, and create a financial plan that supported our company strategy. This included developing and running long-term revenue planning— partnering with leaders across Product, Growth, Sales, and BD to ideate, evaluate, and plan new initiatives. Led ‘Project Diamond’; strategic analyses to shift the company’s financial profile by improving efficiencies and re-allocating resources, putting us on a path to GAAP profitability and $1bn in cash flow. Presented analyses to executive leadership and board of directors for approval, then presented to company-wide leadership (Director+) to galvanize the company to execute on the plan. Managed team and interviewed dozens of candidates to build out new cohort of associates. Presented ‘Dropbox as a Business 101’ to new Dropbox onboarding classes and personally met with new VP+ level hires as part of their onboarding to walk them through the fundamentals of our business.
