In the late 90's (cough), I began my career with a recruitment marketing agency and fell in love with understanding the unique differences in company culture, why people choose to work at a company, and how to authentically tell that story in an engaging way. For over 15 years, I worked with agency clients to uncover and build talent brands and create and implement end-to-end strategies including: employer branding and EVP, personas & journey maps, recruitment marketing, onboarding, employee and alumni engagement, employee mobility, employee referral, social, career websites, virtual and in-person events, diversity & inclusion, and early careers. I am proud to have helped companies like Progressive Insurance, Ford Motor Company, Comerica Bank, Cracker Barrel, Summa Health System, University Hospitals of Cleveland, Duke Medical Center, UnitedHealth Group, and Convergys. After 15 years on the agency side, I moved to the client side and worked for UnitedHealth Group for 5 years where I was responsible for managing and developing a global Talent Brand & Engagement team and telling the story of why UHG and its family of businesses as an employer of choice to attract and engage 90,000+ diverse annual hires. I also launched an employee-focused engagement campaign and events for career, learning, and development for 330,000+ employees globally. After leaving UnitedHealth Group, I enjoyed consulting with clients such as McKesson and GE Aviation to help them stand up their own talent marketing teams, uncover or develop their EVPs, and build talent marketing strategies to attract and engage top diverse talent. I swore I would be a consultant forever, but was truly inspired by the energy, culture, dedication, and authenticity of the people at GE Aviation. Not to mention, they do some really cool work that most people have never even heard about. They had such a great story to tell! Now, I am unleashing a new employer brand aligned to the new GE Aerospace brand and being welcomed into the world of their marketing and communications teams in a way I have never experienced before. I have a great leader, amazing coworkers, and really love what I am doing to help people see how their career can take flight! (pun intended). In my spare time, you will find me planning my next fabulous interactive party experience, lugging lacrosse gear and food across the US for my youngest sons travel team, listening to my middle kill it at speech and debate competitions, and coming to grips with the fact that my oldest left for his first year at Purdue this past August.
